According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission
Recall date: AUGUST 29, 2013
Grandma's who shop early...
If you are like me, you shop ahead for Christmas and birthdays. Yep, we learned not to wait the last minute to get a Cabbage Patch doll in 1982. Sold out!
This recalled Sully is 17 inches in length. He is fuzzy blue with purple spots. He has a wonderful smile that any little kid would love.
Oh yeah, his eyes fall out when they are not suppposed to. YIKES! Little ones can put these in ther mouth and choke. Don't be giving me the, "I tell them NO-NO. Don't put things in your mouth."
That is not enough to keep a child safe. We adults have to keep a close eye on toys and everything. Little ones explore their world by putting things in their mouth. That is normal behavior.
Check your secret closets where hide the presents. If you have one, it was most likely sold in June. Look at the leg for the Tracking label ending with 4384 or 4385 for USA and 4378 for Canada.
This recall only involves the ones with the same tracking label.
You may have purchased this online for about $23 at online at www.buildabear.com during June 2013.
What is a mother or grandmother to do?
Not to worry. Just take the product, Sully, right back to the Build-a-Bear store. You can get a free coupon to replace this stuffed animal with any other stuffed toy you want.
