Warning to all person with peanut allergies. According to a August 12, 2013 FDA press release 855 packages of the Deluxe Mixed Nuts had to be recalled for undeclared peanuts.
Check this out: "16 ounce Terri Lynn Green Fund Raising Bags described as Deluxe Mixed Nuts No Peanuts with lot code 3180, best buy date of 12/29/14"
They were also sold in the Terri Lynn outlet store.
Now, 855 bags is not very many. But to a person who is allergic to peanuts and felt safe eating Macadamias one bag with one peanut is too much. As far as the investigation goes they believe there are not any more bags involved. Removing a few peanuts from a bag that has had peanuts in it will still be a problem for those who have serious peanut allergies.
I find and re-write with my own twist these public safety alerts in the interest of public safety. Won't you help in spreading the word?
