This adorable playmat set with four vehicles sold at the Wegman stores have been recalled.

As of August 8, 2013 there has been one report of the little wheels falling off. These small parts are a choking hazard when you have small children around.

The US made product is exclusive for the Wegman stores has the UPC Code 0 7789028735 4 is printed on the back of the box.  Holgate Toy Division, of Pepperell Braiding Co Inc., of Pepperell, Mass.

Personally, I am not familiar with the Wegman stores at all. If you live in an area where ther are Wegman stores and you have family or friend with small kids who will want to give them the heads up on these little wooden cars. Ask your Wegman stores to please post signage about the recall.

Wegman removing from shelves.

With high tech computers in place the stores should have or are in the process of acting upon the recall and are removing any they have from the shelves.

However, those person who have already bought this playmat set need to imformed about this safety hazard.

Maybe a granny has it setting in the closet waiting for Christmas. If they are like me, by  the holiday rolls around, I have forgotten what I got the kids. Ou can either check your stash and or right before the holidays, check every single toy for a recall.

I am serious, here.

I have been writing my twist on recals for some time now. I find it interesting that so many people comment, "Gee, you never used to hear about so many recalls before. They don't make things or grow food like they used to."

Well, the truth is they don't make stuff like they used to. But, we did not not the watch dogs back then either. For that matter communication was not so good, so, who reported to the world that your child choked to death on a car wheel?

Sorry, that sounded not so caring  and harsh. Things are different from when today's senior grew up. We did not have much to play with to begin with. Bad things did happen, but the word did not get too far out of the community. Standarads are stricter thus more recalls. Be wary of older toys you have had for years.

Take this playmat set away from the kids before they get hurt.

5,000 playmat sets was sold  October 2012 through June 2013 for about $25 all over the United States.

Get this toy out of the hands of kids. You can get a refund from the store.
