Isn't this a sharp looking bike? Now, that a summer time of bike riding fun is nearly over, this bike has been recalled!
The Cannondale Slice RS bicycles and framesets has an issues with the brake plates that "loosen and break" . This causes falls.
"This recall includes all 2013 model year Cannondale triathlon and time trial Slice RS bikes including the Black Edition, Ultegra and Ultegra Di2 bicycles and framesets".
The brakes are mounted at a spot different from most bikes as you can see in the image, under the chainstay.
Some customers have been contacted, already.
Consumer have paid starting at $5,500 to $11,000. Well, I gues teh kids in my neighborhood aren't going to have to worry about this recall. This bike is expensive in my opinion. YIKES! Manufactured in CHINA.
